Overview
Technical Analysis is a study of historical price charts along with volumes which
helps in predicting future price trends. Technical Analysis takes into account all
the factors which are responsible for the stock price movement. It also takes into
account the mass psychology which plays an important role in the stock price movement.
The Technical patterns are based on the human element of greed, fear & hope
and work universally. Most of the patterns have been working since centuries as
they reflect the mindset of the masses. In some countries viz. Japan & US, Technical
Analysis has been practiced for more than 100 years. In India it has started around
25 to 30 years back and of late it has become popular with a lot of investors &
traders using it to time the markets.
